Romney Is Keeping It Real

Gov. Mitt Romney not speaking about gay rights

Mitt Romney gets major props for staying on point.

Sure there is that pesky flyer, but that is so five years ago. Now Romney is letting the gentlefolk of Iowa know he sure is disgusted by any talk about same sex marriage.

In a new radio ad that is playing on the airwaves of the Tall Corn State, Romney reminds voters of how he bravely fought the historic same sex marriage decision in Massachusetts. Of course the former Bay State governor connects the dots to the recent gay marriage case in Iowa.

“The court ruling in Iowa is just another example of an activist judge trying to find things in the Constitution that aren’t there,” Romney says in the ad. “As Republicans, we must oppose discrimination and defend traditional marriage: one man, one woman.”

He never explains what type of discrimination he means, but no need to bother the man with such trivial details. This is tasty red meat to the GOP base and negates his gay rights past (it’s okay Mitt; I won’t tell). If the polling numbers are right this could be a winning strategy.

  1. Romney is a Lair and Russ is a Liar!

Mitt is the only qualified, competent and experienced candidate for President - Republican or Democrat! End of story.
  2. Romney, Keeping it REAL? really? This guy will pander to anyone and everyone to get elected. He Flip-Flops more than anyone I've ever seen, Gay Rights, Abortion? Check the Record. He is the worst kind of politicial, a Lair. Do yourself a favor, don't buy it. With Romney, the saga will just continue unabated.
