Hang in there! It will be over soon enough.
Looks like the American public cares more about Chris Crocker’s new television deal than the presidential election.
As reported by Rasmussen Reports 56 percent of likely voters find the race to the White House an annoying bore, while only 26 percent think it’s riveting and exciting.
One of the reasons why voters are put off is because the campaign season is longer than Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.” Although that has a certain appeal to political junkies (translation: nerds like me), the constant stream of debates and town hall meetings makes eyes glaze over.
Surprisingly Democrats aren’t as bored as Republicans. Thirty-seven percent of donkeys (they are the Democrats) have found the election season informative, while only 19 percent of elephants (those are the Republicans) feel the same way. Rasmussen numbers suggest the reason for this is because Republicans don’t like their odds on Election Day 2008.
