It shouldn’t shock to find out that I’m no fan of Mitt Romney. I’m willing to bet 20 bucks the Romney campaign isn’t staying up late to see how it can win my endorsement. In fact, let’s be honest: the only candidate that might want my approval is Mike Gravel and that is why he’s never going to get near the White House (that plus his perpetual crankiness).
I digress. With my disdain for the idea of a Romney White House in the open let me say this: anyone who is against Romney because he’s a Mormon needs to be dope slapped twice a day.
Apparently some yahoos are engaged in making phone calls, in Iowa and New Hampshire, against Romney and part of their spiel is to mock the man’s faith. I’m all too aware the race to the White House isn’t like a campaign for 3rd grade milk monitor (I lost my milk monitor election due to voting irregularities), but if bigotry is all you got about a candidate at least come out and be upfront about it. The clowns behind this effort are staying in the shadows for now. Makes sense really. Most bigots are cowards anyway.

American religion IS politics. We've made a religion out of politics. The intolerance that comes with the territory (religion) is endemic. The Southern Baptist Convention is still the most political (as well as racist) sect in America. To quote from the world's most moralizing moron, Pat Robertson: "The two seem to go together"
Every gay person who doesn't vote, every gay equality str8 supporter deserves 100 lashes with a very long wet noodle.
Please vote. Just think - we (my wife) and I were in Key West shortly after the election of 2000. As I said to someone, if every gay person in Key West had voted, I'd bet a 5 figure sum of money that Bush would have lost the election.
I've also heard that gay folks have a "90+% we voted" record. Sorry, not good enough. Everyone who is eligible needs to vote
