So… Who’s got the chocolate eggs, hmmmm?
There are no flowers, or bonnets or peeps in evidence, but that doesn’t mean that Kate Clinton isn’t feeling the Easter holiday. In fact, she’s ready to “spring” into action as she discusses “Passion Week.” And what a week it’s been!
Kate dissects Obama’s landmark speech on race, and wonders why we don’t get to call out ranting white ministers (the late Rev. Falwell, for example) on their pulpit patter? And, isn’t about time for Hillary to offer up her own vocal treatise on the politics of sexism and gender in America? When does she get to lay bare that taboo topic, eh?
Meanwhile Kate also explains the real story behind the Last Supper, Good Friday and that whole thing where people hang colored eggs in a tree (who does that, anyway)?
Bonnets, ahoy!

As far as "Holy Week" is concerned, as a recovering Catholic (as well), I don't think Easter is the time for the pope to be baptizing former Muslims. He thinks it's a way of uniting people - HUH? He ertainly has an odd view of things (ex inquisitors are all the same!)
If you have time, look at my own thoughts upon the subjet of the REAL meaning of Easter:

Obama: Campaigns using gays to divide electorate, ignore big problems!
Senator Barack Obama, speaking to rally attendees in Medford, Oregon on Saturday,3/22/08, took issue with how recent political campaigns have used wedge issues to divide the electorate, but have ultimately done little to make a real difference, especially when there are more important things to worry about.
"I mean, think about what these last few election cycles have been about," the Senator said. "We argue about immigration, but we don't try to solve the immigration problem. It's an argument that is all about people's passions instead of trying to figure it out.
"We argue about gay marriage. You know, in the meantime the planet is, you know, potentially being destroyed. We've got a war that is bankrupting us. And we're going to argue about gay marriage? I mean, that doesn't make any sense."
Being a homo... Gay marriage make perfect sense to me!
